WindStream Technologies' product, TurboMill, is a very small-scale wind energy device that may be deployed in a range of enviroments, including the urban marketplace. TurboMills are a new technology for harnessing wind energy in urban settings which meet the needs of municipalities, small businesses, and individual consumers seeking to lower their energy costs and reduce their greenhouse gas emissions and further reducing our nation's dependence on fossil fuels.

While most wind turbine manufacturers are thinking bigger, we're thinking smaller. WindStream believes the secret to making wind energy both affordable and accessible is in scalability. Our plan is simple: build micro-turbines small and quiet enough to install nearly anywhere without additional permitting or grid tie-ins that focus on converting lower speed wind, but more often, that in aggregate, more energy is generated. The bottom line is that time to payback is much faster, and the device will work in more places, where traditional windmills could never go.
