Mr. Bates has spent the past 15 years in the technology sector and has launched successful ventures in both the hardware and software sectors. Mr. Bates' first technology venture, Extreme Audio Reality, E.A.R. was the first provider of multi-channel, interactive audio, designed for the PC and set top-box gaming arena. He also served as CEO and President of an Internet video company providing interactive video technology to television networks, advertising agencies and video publishers. Prior to this, Mr. Bates was a successful producer of feature films and music projects having won numerous awards and working with top names in the industry.
Mr. Chami has over 25 years experience in developing and running capital-intensive businesses Worldwide with important Governmental and CEO level contacts in Europe, the USA and Latin America.
As a former Executive Director of IBM Argentina, Mr. Chami was trained to be a Business Market Maker, identifying and developing new business opportunities and revenue streams in the technology B2B area and became a specialist in creating strategic value added services. He holds an Executive Management degree from IBM Advanced Business Institute.
Mr. Chami held the position of Associate and VP Business development of Dinorall Corporation, a computer company based in Miami, which employed 200 people with annual revenues of $200 M. Claudio launched the South American headquarters and developed a continental distribution network. In the mid 90's Claudio moved to Paris to create Microleader, a European Business Unit from Dinorall, employing 70 people and generating an annual $50 M of revenue. The Group was sold to the third largest computer wholesaler worldwide.
In 1996, Claudio founded IS FRANCE, IT integrator VAR and Consultancy Company and exclusive agent in Latin America of the French Group Compagnie des Signaux, supported by strong alliances in Europe and America drawn from the intelligent transportation and Smartcard industries, internet technologies and voice & data network infrastructure.
In 1999, Claudio cofounded Internet start-up Equod, the first eLogistics ASP platform in Europe, that created a new generation of interactive tracking and innovative business concept for the transportation high-tech sector (Telematics), based on outsourcing and ASP mode economic model. He was in charge of business development and strategy and developed the business model and the company fund-raising strategy, and had extensive dealings with the European capital risk and corporate finance sectors. He also influenced decision-makers from leading companies and integrators (Sun, IBM, Informix among others) to invest substantial resources for further development of the company.
Dr. Richard E. Wirz is an Assistant Professor in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at UCLA and holds a joint appointment at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and serves on the JPL Climate Change and Energy Committee. He has over 10 years of experience in renewable energy technology and is currently coordinating the development of the UCLA Wind Energy Laboratory at the LADWP's Clean Energy Research Center and will be the Director of the Wind Energy Laboratory upon its completion. From 1996 to 2000 he was Manager and Technical Lead for Renewable Energy at Gibbs & Cox, Inc. in Crystal City, VA after working several years as the Technical Lead for Ocean Energy Technologies at SeaSun Power Systems in Alexandria, VA starting in 1993. He has one patent and two patents currently pending and has authored over 40 journal and conference publications, and two NASA Tech Briefs. Dr. Wirz received his Ph.D. degree in Aeronautics and Applied Sciences from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech).
Dr. Wirz will manage research and development of the wind energy system to demonstrate desired system life and performance. He will also optimize rotor placement for each project and help determine the viability of new projects and applications.
Mr. Keating possesses an extensive financial and management leadership background from more than 15 years experience with venture backed early stage technology companies, large technology companies and management consulting firms; including Microsoft, Salomon Smith Barney, PricewaterhouseCoopers and founding Keating Consulting Group. In his role as Managing Partner of Keating Consulting Group, Mr. Keating has advised and worked with more than 80 early stage technology companies, serving several as the interim-CFO. Ryan attended Boston University, School of Management and holds a degree in Finance and Information Systems.
